Cai Watts said: "Being an ambassador for me means helping people to use their language at College, and giving a voice to the Welsh-speaking community at College."
Leri Watkins said: "Being able to speak Welsh at College is important to me as it is my mother tongue and using it is going to help me in my future career in Childcare. I have made friends who are Welsh speakers by attending bilingual events at the College and as a Welsh Ambassador, it has given me opportunities in and outside the classroom not only to improve my Welsh but to help others."
The ambassadors will begin their work this month, and will represent the Coleg Cymraeg and Gower College Swansea at a variety of events, create social media content, and offer ideas on how to promote the Welsh language within the college.
The scheme also offers the ambassadors many opportunities to build their confidence and skills, and to be part of their College's Welsh-speaking community.
