GCSE resits - School leavers (16-18)

Reset, Restart and Succeed!

If you haven’t achieved a Grade C (or Grade 4) or above in GCSE Mathematics, Numeracy or English Language, don’t worry. Any resits will be discussed as part of your enrolment and then added to your timetable alongside your other studies. There is no need to apply online.

Which programme will you follow?

There are two possible pathways depending on the grade you’ve already achieved.

  1. One Year Programme: If you have a Grade D, you’ll be enrolled onto a one-year resit programme. In some cases, there may be the opportunity to resit in November, which will be discussed with the subject team during enrolment.
  2. Two Year Programme: If you have a Grade E or below, you’ll follow a two-year programme. At the end of Year 1, you’ll complete a supportive assessment to help build your confidence and prepare you for Year 2.

We're here to help you succeed with plenty of support and encouragement along the way.
