Geology rocks for A Level student Micah
A fascination with biology and an interest in animals were what set Gower College Swansea student Micah Mainwaring on the career path to becoming a palaeontologist.
Micah is currently studying A Levels in biology, geology, maths and drama at the Gorseinon Campus.
Swansea University’s Chemistry Analyst competition
In January 2024, Gower College Swansea took 30 A Level students to participate in Swansea University’s Chemistry Analyst competition.
Hosted by Professor Simon Bott at the Singleton Campus, the competition involves over 20 school and college teams from all over South Wales completing experimental tasks and analysing the results.
We were incredibly successful, with our GCS Chemistry team winning first and second prizes – the first time we have accomplished such a fantastic feat!
