Managing Food Safety in Catering (Highfield) Level 4 - Award
Overview
This qualification is designed to address the food safety and hygiene needs of the catering sector, due to the growing need to make food safety learning relevant to specific business environments to increase overall effectiveness.
The Level 4 qualification is intended for those whose role requires them to have some responsibility for food safety. Learners are likely to have management responsibilities for an operational team.
Key information
The Level 4 qualification will be delivered across five days of training over a five-week period. It is assessed through multiple-choice and written examinations.
The qualification covers the topic of food hygiene in suitable detail to ensure learners have a thorough knowledge of hazards and controls. It focuses on the importance of developing, implementing and monitoring food safety procedures.
If a learner has additional learning needs, we will require at least six weeks’ notice to implement the required processes.
