Logistics Operations Level 2 - Qualification
Overview
This Level 2 qualification is suitable for those with some experience of the logistics sector who would like to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding. It is for candidates who work or want to work as a logistics operative within the logistics sector.
Key information
The qualification will be delivered through work-based learning, which will include a one to one session taking place every 4-6 weeks at a time suitable for learner and employer.
Mandatory units
- Health and safety in the workplace
- Develop effective working relationships
- Maintain an effective contribution to a business in the logistics sector
- Contribute to the provision of customer service
Optional units
- Prepare the van for driving
- Protect the van and load
- Prepare the articulated vehicle for driving
- Protect the articulated vehicle and load
- Obtain information on the collection/delivery of the load
- Place goods in storage
- Release vehicles for daily tasks
- Monitor vehicle movements
To successfully complete the qualification, learners will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge criteria derived from the National Occupational Standards for those working in a logistic environment.
As learners progress through the qualification, they will create an e-portfolio of the naturally occurring evidence of the practical activity undertaken in the workplace to demonstrate knowledge and competency.
