As we enter winter and move nearer to Christmas, the good news is that COVID infection rates in Wales continue to fall.
However, in the media recently there has been a number of stories concerning respiratory infections circulating within the community including flu, COVID and other bacterial infections.
Public Health Wales has recently updated their guidance for people suffering with symptoms of respiratory infection and we feel, as a College, that it is important that we highlight this to you so you can be more aware of how to protect against infection.
The guidance can be found here with the updated information highlighted in blue.
The key message is for everyone to continue to maintain high hygiene standards such as washing/sanitising hands regularly throughout the day and, most importantly, limiting physical contact with others if we are feeling unwell (only resume normal daily activities and start mixing with others once you are feeling better).
By following these simple messages we can continue to keep the College and the wider community healthy and safe.
