Students from Gower College Swansea have enjoyed significant success during the recent Welsh Colleges Championships.
At the close of the Championships, which were held in Cardiff, the college was named Welsh Colleges Champions in netball, women’s hockey, men’s football and men’s tennis, and also provided one Welsh qualifier for the men’s golf team.
“This was a fantastic display and means that Gower College Swansea will provide more representatives – around 40 - for the Wales region than any other college in Wales when we travel to Newcastle in April for the AOC National (or British) Championships,” says Learning Area Manager Marcus Coxon.
“This is further indication of the success and opportunity that we consistently provide for our learners with our excellent Academies and our wider sport and health enrichment programme.”
Gower College Swansea students also reached the finals in a number of other events including men’s rugby and ladies tennis.
