Upcoming event – Delivering Excellence in Property: Mastering Residential Letting

Gower College Swansea is thrilled to announce an exclusive event that provides a unique opportunity for landlords, letting agents and property managers to meet directly with our housing experts and explore new avenues for staff development.

Taking place on Wednesday 20 November, Delivering Excellence in Property: Mastering Residential Letting offers the chance to discuss the latest upskilling opportunities available through a new Level 2 Chartered Institute of Housing accredited qualification, aimed at supporting those working in residential lettings and property management roles.

The new qualification, Letting and Managing Residential Properties, is a fully funded six-month programme, designed to provide an understanding of tenancy law, property management and customer care in the private rented sector, whilst supporting entry and progression into roles such as assistant property managers, estate agents, housing assistants and more.

The qualification aims to promote good standards of privately rented accommodation, assist landlords, letting agents and tenants to undertake responsibilities to each other, as well as to provide fundamental knowledge to individual landlords and letting/managing agents to help them fulfil their role.

Speaking about the new qualification, Lucy Bird, Commercial Manager for Housing at the College, said:

“Driven by the demand of employers in the private rented sector, I am proud to announce the addition of this new course to our suite of Housing qualifications. Equipping learners with essential skills for residential property management, this qualification enhances career prospects, supports professional development and promotes high standards in customer service, housing legislation and best practices in the private rented sector in Wales.”

Employers interested in enhancing their team’s skills and knowledge can book a one-to-one consultation with housing experts at the event, with bookings available between 10am–4pm that can take place either in-person at the newly refurbished Tramshed Palace Theatre or online via Teams.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their organisations specific needs and explore how the new qualification can help their staff thrive in the evolving private rented sector.
