Overview
Learn more about this new CIH qualification at our upcoming event.
This qualification is a Level 2 vocationally related course for the housing sector, regulated by Qualifications Wales.
Its primary objective is to provide an understanding of tenancy law, property management and customer care in the private rented sector, as well as to support entry into and progression in roles such as assistant property managers, estate agents, housing administrators, housing assistants, lettings negotiators and landlords.
The qualification aims to:
- Encourage and actively promote good standards of privately rented accommodation
- Assist landlords, letting agents and tenants to undertake their responsibilities to each other
- To provide fundamental knowledge to individual residential landlords and letting/managing agents to help them fulfil their role
It is suitable for individual landlords, those who wish to enter the housing sector, letting and managing agents, as well as individuals giving advice to tenants.
Key information
The CIH suggests it may be beneficial for learners to have some experience working in letting and/or managing of residential property or an associated industry, but it is not essential.
Learners will be allocated a dedicated tutor/assessor, who will work closely with both the learner and employer to ensure the level and units selected are suited to their individual role and organisational priorities.
The course will be delivered through a series three half day structured workshops, which will provide learners with underpinning knowledge for the assignments. This will be supplemented by ongoing individual tutorial support.
