Gower College Swansea is delighted to announce the appointment of Kieran Keogh as its new Director of Quality.
Kieran succeeds Peter Reason, who retired at the end of September after 30 years’ service at the College, and will take on a pivotal role overseeing quality across all curriculum areas.
Kieran brings a wealth of experience in further education management, having previously held the position of Campus Lead at Llwyn y Bryn and Learning Area Manager overseeing the Visual Arts, Music Performance, Adult Basic Education and ESOL curriculum areas. Prior to this, Kieran was the College’s Head of International, responsible for all overseas commercial activity.
His career also includes various roles in teaching and learning, including Curriculum Leader for ESOL provision, Teaching and Learning Mentor, and PGCE lecturer. Kieran is also an Estyn Peer Inspector, participating in two inspections in 2024, and is also the Co-chair for the Adult Learning Partnership Wales network.
Speaking about his new role, Kieran said, "I am thrilled to step into this leadership position within an organisation renowned for its commitment to quality. Together with the quality team, I look forward to building on this strong foundation and ensuring that we continue to uphold the highest standards."
Nikki Neale, Vice Principal of Curriculum, Quality, Teaching and Learning, welcomed Kieran to the role, saying: "We are delighted to have Kieran join the senior leadership team. His extensive experience in the sector will be invaluable as we continue to prioritise quality in line with the College's strategic vision, ensuring the best outcomes for all."
