At the end of another very busy academic year, Gower College Swansea held its annual summer Staff Wellbeing Day on 4 July.
Teaching and support staff were able to relax and take part in a wide variety of activities this year including golf, shamanic healing, gardening, cold water therapy, yoga and printmaking.
They were also able to gain free advice on a range of issues such as legal matters, HRT, general health and fitness, and the College’s Cycle to Work scheme.
A delicious selection of nutritious street food was also on offer.
The Wellbeing Day has become a real calendar highlight for staff across all campuses, an opportunity to enjoy a range of free taster sessions and activities with colleagues and friends.
“It was great to be able to offer such a diverse package of activities again this summer - there really is something for everyone at our Wellbeing Days,” says Vice Principal for People and Wellbeing, Sarah King. “A big thank you to everyone who organised, or took part in, an activity including all of our corporate and community partners whose support is invaluable."
The Wellbeing Day comes at the end of another very successful 12 months for health and wellbeing at Gower College Swansea.
The College was named the Public Sector Organisation of the Year at the British HR Awards 2024.
