Farewell to the Class of 2019
Some of our departing international A level students recently attended a graduation lunch at Sketty Hall.
The lunch was a celebration of the students time at the College and all guests enjoyed a traditional British meal.
Our A2 students currently hold offers from 20 of the 24 Russell Group Universities, including Oxbridge.
The International department wishes all of our A2 students a fond farewell and every success for their future.

This year, our International art students secured multiple Urdd Eisteddfod awards across various mediums.
In the regional heat, Korean student Bella took the first place in both the Computer Graphics and Graphics in Photography categories.
Our Chinese students also took home prizes. Photography student Trista took the first place in the Monochrome Print category, while Iris won the Printing and Fashion category at the Regionals and then went on to achieve second place at the Nationals in the same category.

Gower College Swansea’s Sketty Hall is set for renovation under proposed new development plans.
The Grade II listed building, nestled in beautiful grounds close to Singleton Park, will be repurposed as a Business School, home to a wide range of professional courses as well as higher-level qualifications and degree apprenticeships.

Gower College Swansea recently held its second annual Health and Wellbeing Day at the Tycoch Campus.
Over 400 members of staff enjoyed the free activities which included yoga, swingball, inflatable basketball, guided walks, tai chi, gardening, a Greatest Showman-themed dance lesson, singing and relaxing massages
Staff were also able to browse the stalls set up at the College’s Sport Centre and find out more about gym membership, fitness and nutrition and other initiatives such as the College book club and Health Assured employee assistance programme.

Students at Gower College Swansea have raised an astonishing £11,000 over the past two years – money that has been donated to the Kenya Community Education Project
During each year of their time at College, these students have organised a range of charity events including a walrus dip in the freezing waters of Caswell Bay (in the middle of December), two separate climbs up Mount Snowdon, and a gruelling 40-mile walk through Cannock Chase.
In addition, they took it in turns to manage a stall in the reception of the Gorseinon Campus where they sold refreshments.
