College celebrates Swansea Council staff development success

 

Gower College Swansea was thrilled to mark the achievements of a recent cohort of learners from Swansea Council with a celebration event at Sketty Hall Business School.

The event marked the culmination of months of hard work and dedication, as participants were officially presented with their certificates after completing professional qualifications in Leadership and Management, Data Analytics and Housing.

Speaking about the event, Lucy Bird, Commercial Manager for Housing at Gower College Swansea, said: “It was fantastic to celebrate the achievements of Swansea Council’s team who have all put in a tremendous amount of effort alongside their busy workloads, their dedication to learning is truly inspiring. It has been a pleasure to work alongside the Council’s Training Department, whose support and clear vision for staff development have been key to this success.”

Georgina Cornelius, Trainer in Housing at the College, added: “Working with Swansea Council staff to pursue their qualifications has been incredibly rewarding. Witnessing their confidence, knowledge and understanding blossom throughout the workshops has been truly gratifying. Having an opportunity to celebrate the success of those who have undertaken their qualifications with us at Gower College Swansea was a pleasure.”

Ann Smith, Landlord and Community Housing Services Coordinator at Swansea Council, said: “We are delighted to see many of our newly qualified officers progressing in their careers, achieving promotions and moves that prove the confidence, knowledge and skills they develop with Gower College Swansea set them up to successfully achieve their goals, and justifies the hard work they have put into the qualifications.”
