Non-Medical Aesthetics - Level 4
Overview
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant principles and practices in advanced and safe skincare protocols for a bespoke selection of aesthetic practices. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice.
- Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Provide skin peeling treatments
- Provide skin needling treatments
- Enhance appearance using dermaplaning techniques.
Key information
This qualification is aimed at Level 3 qualified practitioners who wish to add a range of Aesthetic Treatments. Learners are required to hold a Level 3 regulated beauty therapy qualification which includes facial electrical therapy and demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology.
End theory and practical exams and written assignments.
Students will be expected to undertake home study, including written and practical course work.
The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment in the advanced non-medical aesthetic industry providing skin needling, skin peeling and dermaplaning techniques. Additionally, learners may choose to further develop their knowledge and skills by completing supplementary specialist qualifications at Level 4 in one or more of the following areas:
- Radio frequency
- Ultrasound.

Learners are also required to purchase a uniform as part of their course.
