Overview

Multiply is here! Gower College Swansea is proud to be offering completely free adult numeracy courses that are relevant to everyday life, and nothing like the old maths lectures that you remember!

Embark on a numeracy journey through the cosmos with our captivating course, "Astronomy and the Solar System."

Learners will explore space and the main components of our solar system. What is the scale between the inferior and superior planets? What gaseous components make up the gas giants? Each celestial entity will be viewed live, allowing learners to investigate characteristics and plot the relative distance from the Sun.

The journey doesn't stop there. We’ll look at meteor showers, learning the difference between meteoroids, and meteorites.

Join us and ignite your passion for space as we discover "Astronomy and the Solar System."

The Multiply Project is fully funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund.
