Overview
This course is designed to gain entry to the Electronic Industry. The course will develop the following skills:
- Soldering
- Autodesk Fusion electronics software
- Circuit construction
- Fault finding.
Objectives:
- Understand the principles of electronic systems and their applications
- Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills on electronic systems
- Design and install electronic projects.
Outcomes:
- Students will be able to explain the fundamental concepts of electronic systems and their applications
- Students will be able to design basic electronic systems
- Students will be able to build electronic systems.
Key information
No formal entry requirements. Subject to interview.
Students will build a portfolio of evidence that could be used to advance onto a full- or part-time programme.
Assessment:
- Practical assignments throughout the course.
Staying with the College, you could progress on to level 2/3 EAL electronics programmes.
