Overview

The Solar Photovoltaic Installer is a course for those looking to achieve a recognised qualification in the installation and maintenance of renewable technology systems. The qualification is recognised and accepted by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.

The Battery Storage Systems/Charging course is aimed at electrical installers who install inverter photovoltaic systems, that can benefit from the installation of battery storage systems to enable power to be stored for later use.

Key information

This qualification is designed for experienced electricians and installers who are looking to enhance their current skill and knowledge to allow them to design, install, test and inspect a range of photovoltaic and battery storage installations. 

The course will be structured over five days with practical elements and online examinations where applicable.

Candidates will be expected to hold a BS7671: 2018 Electrical Regulations qualification or equivalent earlier certification that includes Inspection and Testing.
