Taith is an international learning exchange programme that Gower College Swansea has been proud to participate in since its launch in 2022. This initiative has opened up exciting global opportunities for both students and staff, allowing them to travel to countries such as Portugal, Spain, Canada, the Netherlands, Thailand, New Zealand, and more.
The International social programme has been a great success for this academic year, with strong participation from both AS and A2 students across a range of engaging activities organised by the International team.

Colleges Wales, in their commitment to fostering global learning experiences, have chosen two outstanding students Carys and Alpha, to embark on an exciting educational journey. These talented individuals have been awarded scholarships to participate in a three-week Global Summer School at Humber College in Toronto, focusing on the captivating field of podcasting. This unique opportunity will allow Carys and Alpha to expand their horizons, develop new skills, and network with experts in the podcasting industry.

Gower College Swansea Enterprise Champion, Claire Reid, is heading to Cyprus next month as part of an international study, looking at entrepreneurial skills in young people.
The trip, which is organised by the British Council, will take place over five days and comprises of teachers and lecturers from a variety of educational settings from all over the UK. They will be visiting schools, non-government organisations and businesses in the Nicosia region.

The Association of Colleges’ Beacon Awards celebrate the best and most innovative practice among UK Colleges. They are awarded every year by AoC to provide recognition for excellence while acknowledging the talents of staff at all levels.
