Gower College Swansea welcomes employers to its Apprenticeship Fair

Gower College Swansea welcomed learners, visitors and employers to its Apprenticeship Fair, held on Wednesday 3 June at the College’s Tycoch Campus. 

The event provided attendees with the opportunity to explore the wide range of apprenticeship pathways available across a variety of industries, while speaking directly with expert College staff and leading employers about the opportunities on offer, career progression routes and how apprenticeships can help individuals take the next step in their careers.

Gower College Swansea Launches Wales’ First Floorcovering Training Facility

Gower College Swansea is strengthening its position as Wales’ only floor covering apprenticeship provider, with the opening of a new, industry-focused training facility designed to meet the growing demand across the flooring industry.

This purpose-built space, located at the College’s Jubilee Court campus in Fforestfach, has been developed to support the delivery of the Level 2 Floorcovering apprenticeship, a specialist programme designed to equip apprentices with the skills, technical expertise and practical experience to progress in the trade. 

Hard Hats and Hot Coffee: Building the Future Together

Hard hats, hot coffee, and a room full of industry voices came together at Gower College Swansea’s Sketty Hall Business School for an event focused on shaping the future of the built environment.

The College welcomed employers from the region including Morganstone, Andrew Scott, Cyfle, CP Engineering, James Brothers Co, and Swansea Council, alongside sector specialists, to connect, share insights, and influence the direction of construction and the built environment training across Wales.

New ‘Skills for the Workplace’ Project to Power Southwest Wales Workforce

Gower College Swansea has launched a new initiative designed to equip individuals across south west Wales with the in-demand skills needed to meet local needs and help people thrive in today’s workforce.

The Skills for the Workplace launch took place at Sketty Hall Business School and coincided with Adult Learners’ Week, making it a fitting opportunity to focus on helping adults retrain and build future skills.

Rugby legend Jonathan Davies OBE delivers management masterclass at Gower College Swansea

Gower College Swansea was delighted to welcome former international rugby player and broadcaster Jonathan Davies OBE, to Sketty Hall Business School as part of its management masterclass series.

The event, which was hosted by the College’s Business Development Consultant and former Wales rugby international, Stuart Davies, brought together staff and leading figures from the local business community for a rare opportunity to gain first-hand insight from one of Wales’ most respected sporting figures.
