Hard Hats and Hot Coffee: Building the Future Together

Hard hats, hot coffee, and a room full of industry voices came together at Gower College Swansea’s Sketty Hall Business School for an event focused on shaping the future of the built environment.

The College welcomed employers from the region including Morganstone, Andrew Scott, Cyfle, CP Engineering, James Brothers Co, and Swansea Council, alongside sector specialists, to connect, share insights, and influence the direction of construction and the built environment training across Wales.

FE colleges join forces with CITB to improve provision and support across construction sector

This year, ColegauCymru, on behalf of their member colleges, signed an agreement with Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) in a move to support the provision of construction qualifications and support for learners, apprentices and employers across Wales.

This comes as the industry continues to demand talent, qualifications and skills that are fit for purpose, future proofed and that will support the Welsh economy in the long term. The Agreement will strengthen the relationship between FE colleges and the construction industry in Wales.
