Gower College Swansea welcomes employers to its Apprenticeship Fair

Gower College Swansea welcomed learners, visitors and employers to its Apprenticeship Fair, held on Wednesday 3 June at the College’s Tycoch Campus.

The event provided attendees with the opportunity to explore the wide range of apprenticeship pathways available across a variety of industries, while speaking directly with expert College staff and leading employers about the opportunities on offer, career progression routes and how apprenticeships can help individuals take the next step in their careers.

Visitors were able to discover apprenticeships across numerous sectors including built environment trades such as plumbing, carpentry and brickwork, engineering, accountancy, digital, estates and facilities management, health and social care, alongside many other exciting career routes.

Throughout the event, attendees gained valuable insights into the many benefits of undertaking an apprenticeship programme, including the opportunity to earn while you learn, achieve a nationally recognised qualification and gain essential workplace experience that employers are actively looking for.

A wide range of respected local employers were in attendance to showcase the opportunities and career pathways available within their organisation. Employers included AtkinsRéalis, JCP Solicitors, Home Instead, Welsh Government, Dyfed Powys Police, Castell Howell, Kier Construction, Sony, Codi Group, Digital Health and Care Wales, Adferiad, Bridgend County Borough Council, University of South Wales, Army, Urdd, Welsh Rugby Union, Careers Wales, Sam Hawking Property Lawyers, Salus Care, Willmott Dixon and The Construction Hub Academy.
