Overview

This qualification will provide learners with foundational knowledge cloud concepts, core Azure services, as well as Azure management and governance features and tools.

Upon completion, learners will be able to:

  • Describe core cloud computing concepts
  • Describe Azure architecture and related services
  • Describe Azure management and governance.

Learners will also have utilised Microsoft Learning Labs to gain hands-on experience of running Azure services in the cloud, and will be provided with the means and post-delivery support to undertake the Microsoft AZ900 exam, and to achieve AZ900 certified status. 

Key information

An understanding of cloud computing would be helpful, but is not necessary.  

The qualification consists of a number of learning paths.

Learning path 1: Describe cloud concepts

  • Describe cloud computing
  • Describe the benefits of using cloud services
  • Describe cloud service types.

Learning path 2: Describe Azure architecture and services

  • Describe the core architectural components of Azure
  • Describe Azure compute and networking services
  • Describe Azure storage services
  • Describe Azure identity, access and security.

Learning path 3: Describe Azure management and governance

  • Describe cost management in Azure
  • Describe features and tools in Azure for governance and compliance
  • Describe features and tools for managing and deploying Azure resources
  • Describe monitoring tools in Azure.

Delivery will take place at Sketty Hall Business School.

Microsoft Certified Learning Pathways related to Azure Administration and Cloud Services. 

The qualification will be delivered by Gower College Swansea partners, Stable, who are leaders in Microsoft Certified Education.
