It’s always great to hear stories of progression throughout the College and this one is truly amazing!
Back in 2017, Emma Hill was at risk of becoming NEET so she joined our Bridge programme while she thought about which career pathway she wanted to follow. After completing the Bridge course with a DM grade profile, she progressed firstly onto L2 Health and Social Care, and then L2 Engineering Technologies.
Here, Emma found her calling and progressed onto L3 Extended Dip in Engineering Technologies, which she completed this past summer with an overall Distinction, and now she is enrolled at the HE Centre on the HND Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Alongside this academic achievement, Emma has been a star player in the College’s WorldSkills competition success story, reaching the national finals no less!
Says Caryn Morgan: “It’s fantastic that a learner who was at risk of NEET and with no clear pathway in mind had the opportunity to try different courses whilst at College. Emma had such determination and perseverance to find the subject area that she is clearly passionate about. I am delighted to see her enrolled on an HE programme with us.”
