How to Bake - Pastry
Overview
The course will give you an introduction to working in the catering / bakery industry. During this short course, you will learn to make a variety of pastry based items, using traditional methods and techniques. Items prepared may include shortcrust pastry savouries, sweetpaste tartlets and flans, choux paste profiteroles and buns.

Key information
You must have a keen interest to work in the catering / bakery industry. You may be working in the industry and feel the need to improve your skills.
There are no formal assessments. You will be observed throughout the sessions and receive verbal feedback at the end of each lesson. Recipes will be provided, which you are encouraged to retain in the form of a small portfolio.
