Overview
This two year course provides individuals working in the chemical and related industries with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to succeed in employment. Learners will develop a range of skills, techniques and attributes essential for successful performance in working life.

Applied Sciences (Chemistry Pathway)
First year
- Unit 1: Fundamentals of Laboratory Techniques (Mandatory)
- Unit 2: Scientific Data Handling Approaches and Techniques (Mandatory)
- Unit 7: Inorganic Chemistry (Mandatory)
- Unit 8: Organic Chemistry (Mandatory).
Second year
- Unit 3: Regulation and Quality in the Applied Sciences (Pearson - set)
- Unit 9: Physical Chemistry
- Unit 64: Work Based Investigation
- Unit 73: Environmental Pollutants and Water Testing.
Progression on to an undergraduate degree in applied chemistry or a related area.
