Gower College Swansea is delighted to support the TEDx Swansea 2018 event, which is taking place at the National Waterfront Museum on Saturday 2 June from 5pm to 9pm.
With prestigious guest speakers and live performances, TEDxSwansea – which is now in its fourth year - has become a keenly anticipated highlight in the calendar, with tickets for the 2018 event selling out in under an hour.
GCS Training – the business training arm of the college – will sponsor a post-event drinks reception at Morgans Hotel from 9.15pm to which all TEDxSwansea attendees are welcome.
"I've always enjoyed TEDx events and feel they are a wonderful opportunity to bring diverse people and ideas together,” says Jayne Brewer, Head of Employer Development at Gower College Swansea. “The fact that tickets were snapped up so quickly is a clear indication of the appetite for innovative, thought provoking and inspiring events here in the city. We are delighted to be able to support the 2018 event by hosting the reception at Morgans Hotel, where the conversations and networking opportunities of the day can continue.”
Event organisers Steve Stokes and Lee Ibbotson have ambitious plans for TEDx in Swansea and are keen to ensure the concept has the support to grow.
"We are delighted that Gower College Swansea has come on board and hope that other organisations across the city see the potential and get involved in the future,” says Steve. “Not only is this a great opportunity to share innovative ideas and inspirational talks - but we also hope to give future generations a platform to use their voice and share their experiences.”
