Winter Wellbeing Day at Gower College Swansea

Just before the Christmas break, Gower College Swansea held a special Wellbeing Day for its staff.

Over 130 staff members from across all campuses enjoyed a range of free activities which included an escape room challenge, festive wreath making, Shamanic healing, pet therapy, bingo and pickleball. In addition, they were able to seek advice on legal matters, HRT, mental health and fitness.

"Taking place twice a year, Wellbeing Day is an opportunity for staff to relax at the end of a busy term, to try their hand at a new physical activity, enjoy a creative craft, or seek free and confidential advice on a range of issues, " says Vice Principal: People and Wellbeing, Sarah King.

“With numerous different activities on offer in December, there really was something for everyone and we look forward to further developing our wellbeing offer into 2025.”

This event came at the end of another very successful 12 months for health and wellbeing at Gower College Swansea – one highlight of which was being named Public Sector Organisation of the Year at the British HR Awards 2024.
