Overview
This qualification will teach you how to use Microsoft Power Platform solutions to simplify, automate and empower business processes for organisations in the role of a Functional Consultant.
A Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant is responsible for creating and configuring applications, automations and solutions. They act as the liaison between users and the implementation team.
The functional consultant promotes utilisation of solutions within an organisation, and may perform discovery, engage subject matter experts and stakeholders, capture requirements, and map requirements to features. They implement components of a solution including application enhancements, customer user experiences, system integrations, data conversions, custom process automation and simple visualisations.
Learners will be provided with the means and post delivery support to undertake the Microsoft PL200 exam and achieve PL200 certified status.
Sitting the PL200 exam is a requirement of funding and all participants will be expected to share the exam outcome with Gower College Swansea.
Key information
Suitable candidates for this certification should be performing discovery, capturing requirements, engaging with subject matter experts and stakeholders, as well as configuring business solutions by using Microsoft Power Platform tools and components. Candidates should also create application enhancements, tailored user experiences and process automation.
As a candidate, you will implement the design provided by and in collaboration with a solution architect and the standards, branding and artifacts established by user experience designers. You will implement integrations with third party applications and services, as well as generate training documentation, facilitate training and enablement.
Candidates must interact and effectively communicate with members of a delivery team, stakeholders and other customer teams whilst championing for their success. They must have an understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM) practices for Microsoft Power Platform and quality assurance.
They must be familiar using Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate cloud flows, Power Pages and Power Platform environments components, as well as have proficiency in data modelling, user experience design and requirements analysis.
