Motor Vehicle Level 2 Welsh Baccalaureate students at Gower College Swansea have raised £167.30 for Maggie’s Cancer Centre in Swansea after carrying out winter car checks for staff in lieu of a donation.
Under the guidance of a lecturer, the car checks included an anti-freeze check and top-up, screen wash top-up, visual safety inspection of tyres, lights, brakes and an oil level check. Anti-freeze and screen wash was generously donated by Normag and VW Sinclair.
Lecturer, Alison Booth, said that the students’ effort was fantastic with lots of positive feedback from staff commenting on the students’ professionalism.
