Four students from Llwyn y Bryn Campus have been accepted to study at UAL (University of the Arts London), an institution ranked second in the world for art and design. They are:
- Lucy De La Haye - heading to Central Saint Martins to study Graphic Design
- James Makin - heading to Central Saint Martins to join the Womenswear Fashion course (ranked No 1 in the world, it’s where the likes of Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen trained)
- Chloe Hill - accepted at London College of Fashion to study BA (Hons) 3D Effects for Performance and Fashion
- James Thompson - heading to London College of Communication to study Illustration.
“UAL is the arts equivalent of Oxbridge so we are really excited to have four learners accepted this year as competition for these places is incredibly fierce,” says Curriculum Leader, Elinor Franklin.
“We have 32 learners on the Foundation Art and Design course and all those who applied to university got into their first choice institution including UAL, Falmouth University, Bath Spa, University of the West England Bristol and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. This is a fantastic achievement and we are really proud of them all.”
