Gower College Swansea students Lauren Pritchard and Atlanta Coates have two fantastic reasons to celebrate this summer.
Not only have they both been awarded a First Class Honours Degree after completing their BA Business Management (Accounting) course, which the College offers in partnership with the University of South Wales, but they have also both been offered fantastic roles with Bevan Buckland LLP.
Lauren completed the HND Business and Accounting at the College before progressing to the top-up BA with a career goal of becoming an accountant. Before that she had taken A Levels in business, accounting and economics at the Gorseinon Campus.
“The support I received from my lecturers on the HND and BA courses, many of whom has also taught me at A Level, was amazing and the smaller class sizes meant more help was easily accessible,” says Lauren.
With thanks to the College’s employability programme, Better Jobs, Better Futures, Lauren has now secured a graduate accounting role at Bevan Buckland LLP which starts in September.
“I would definitely recommend the HE courses at Gower College Swansea,” adds Lauren. “The support I received all the way through the three years has been amazing and really helped me to achieve my First.”
Prior to her BA course, Atlanta studied business, accounting and maths at the Gorseinon Campus.
“I loved the smaller degree classes at Gower College Swansea because it was easy to speak to someone if I needed to,” she says. “I would recommend their University Centre to anyone who prefers smaller, more intimate classes and anyone who wants easy access to support. I am so looking forward to starting my career as a trainee accountant in September!”
