Go for it in 2025 with a part-time course for adult learners

It’s never too late to learn something new, and what better time to make that commitment than the start of a new year?

Gower College Swansea offers a vast range of courses for adult learners in all sorts of areas from the creative arts, health and beauty, and personal development, to construction and trades, business and finance, and essential skills.

What’s more, they are all available to take up on a part-time basis so you can fit them around work, family life and other commitments.

You can now enrol at Gower College Swansea for part-time courses beginning between January and May 2025, with many getting started in the first two weeks of the new year.

So whether you are looking to boost your employability, change the direction of your career, update your skills or simply learn something new, Gower College Swansea will have a part-time course for you.

Gower College Swansea’s courses are recognised and supported by employers, who see the benefits to their organisations when staff develop their skills and knowledge around their careers.

Ruth Evans, learning and development project manager at Swansea Bay University Health Board, said: “We really appreciate the continued support from Gower College Swansea. The support has allowed staff to complete the programmes and progress to higher levels to build their knowledge further.”

Recent graduate Nicholas Lyons, who works as a community safety and environmental partner at Merthyr Valley Homes, said: “My experience with Gower College Swansea has been absolutely first class, it’s the people there, it’s the level of support.

“They are with you every step of the way. You’re not in it alone. They help you. They nudge you. They were so empowering.”

Cerys Williams completed an NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance Level 4, to advance and grow their career. "It's really nice to go back into a learning environment and gain some extra skills for your progression."

Emily Lowe completed a Level 3 in Sports Massage at Gower College Swansea. She said: “It feels good to be learning new things and developing my knowledge. It had been quite a while since I was in formal education, so I was a bit nervous but I'm so glad I took this step.

“If you are considering a part-time course at the College – I’d say to go for it! You never know where it could take you.”
