GCS Netball Academy were crowned Welsh Champions after a superb weekend of competition at the Wales Netball Presidents Cup, held in Bangor.
Travelling the length of the country, the squad showed outstanding resilience, unity, and performance quality throughout the tournament, working collectively as a squad of 12 to secure the national title.
The team delivered consistent performances across the weekend, demonstrating strong connections on court, disciplined execution, and a collective mindset that proved decisive in high-pressure moments.
Speaking after the win, Head Coach Sarah Lewis, said:
“I’m incredibly pleased with the result and, more importantly, the way the group came together across the weekend. It was a long journey up to Bangor, but the squad handled it brilliantly. Every player contributed, and the togetherness of the 12 was outstanding. To come away as Welsh Champions is a real reward for the work they’ve put in.”
The victory marks a significant achievement for the GCS Netball Academy programme and reflects the continued development of the squad within the national competition structure.
