Over 50 ESOL students from Gower College Swansea were recently treated to an end-of-term sports day at the 360 Centre where they enjoyed beach volleyball, rounders and an egg and spoon race in the glorious sunshine.
The day was organised by Level 3 Sports students from the Tycoch campus and the ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teaching team.
“The event not only celebrated the end of the academic year, it brought together departments from across the college, promoting a sense of teamwork and cooperation,” says the college’s Equality and Diversity Leader Jane John. “The day also formed an important part of the Sports curriculum, where students are given the responsibility of managing an event.”
