Every year graduation marks a special moment in the academic calendar to congratulate the hard work and success of our graduates.
The event is a showcase of achievement where we celebrate student success from a wide range of higher level courses including accountancy, teaching, engineering, childcare, sport, housing and management.
This year over 200 students along with their friends, family and employers would have been invited to attend our annual graduation ceremony today, Wednesday 11 November. However, due to the current climate, we are unable to proceed with the ceremony as planned.
We do, however, plan to hold a ceremony next year says Principal Mark Jones. You have earned this moment, and we will aim to provide you with the opportunity to enjoy your special day with the College, your employers, your family, and your friends.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you well in everything you do, and to wish you well in your future career, and I look forward to hearing of your continued success, he added.
Ryan Jarvis, the College's Higher Education Manager also adds his congratulations, he said: It has been particularly challenging year which makes these achievements all the more impressive. We are all extremely proud of your success.
The Welsh Government places great emphasis on education and particularly further and higher education, in terms of the delivery of the skills needed to support a strong economy.
Mark added: I'm delighted that at Gower College Swansea we are continuing to deliver higher level courses which is enabling us to support this agenda year on year.
To help celebrate today's special date, we have created a Splash page to showcase this years graduates with a personal message from Principal Mark Jones and some testimonials from our 2020 graduates.
