The trophy cabinets are filling up nicely at Gower College Swansea, as the Football Academy celebrates its most successful season to date.

As well as being recently named ECFA Tier 1 League Champions, the players were also Tier 1 National Cup semi-finalists, Tier 1 Mens’ National Premier Championship Cup final winners, and Welsh Schools Cup winners.

Eight players - Nathaniel Osborne, Sam Seagers, Harvey Chapman, James Lester, Jay Farrell-Alli, Ricky Owen, Keane Whitmore, and Ollie Anderson - have gained Welsh Colleges U19's International Caps.

In addition, Jay Farrell-Alli gained his Welsh Schools U18's International Cap and won the Centenary Shield.

And over at Swansea City Football Club, Archie Quick gained a two-year scholarship which follows on from Caleb Demery signing a two-year professional contract last season.

“It’s been the most amazing season – to be named National Champions and Treble Champions for the first time in our history is an amazing achievement,” says Curriculum Leader Andrew Stokes, who has overseen the Football Academy with lecturer Richard South for ten years.

“We’ve got a fantastically talented group of players here, with very bright futures ahead, and we’re excited to see what they can achieve next.”
