Housing Level 3 - Award (CIH)
Overview
Our Housing qualification will underpin your existing knowledge to allow you to consolidate some of the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in housing related activities. It will also expand your knowledge and understanding across a broad range of frontline housing practices at operational level.
The qualification is suitable for those who have already achieved a Level 2 CIH qualification, and/or experience of working in the housing sector. It is also suitable for those working in a frontline capacity in a wide range of housing and housing related roles.
It is primarily for those aiming to increase their knowledge and awareness of the housing environment in which they work.
Key information
The qualification will be delivered flexibly to suit the needs of the learner and employer. We offer both face-to-face and remote delivery, or a blended learning approach.
Learners will be allocated a dedicated trainer, who will work closely with both the learner and employer to ensure the level and units selected are suitable to the learners role and organisational priorities. Learners will attend half-day workshops every six weeks to gain the underpinning knowledge needed for each unit. Dates and sessions will be agreed with the learner and employer at the start of the qualification.
The learning will be supported during the workshops, but your tutor will also be available through email or phone to offer advice and support throughout the qualification.
Units
- The housing system
- Professional practice skills
- Occupancy, tenure and lettings
Learners will be required to complete an assignment at the end of each module to demonstrate knowledge and competency. Assessments will differ for each unit, and will include in-class activities and post-class activities.
Throughout the qualification, this will actively promote and improve academic writing skills, ICT skills, collaboration and personal presentation skills.
