Overview
Electrical Containment is a practical course that will enhance your electrical skills, where you will learn how to install metal conduit course, PVC conduit, plastic trunking, metal trunking and traywork, using equipment you would use on site.
The course is designed for experienced electricians, apprentices and installers who are looking to enhance their skills and knowledge to work and install electrical equipment in commercial and industrial installations.
Key information
Candidates must possess relevant trade qualifications and/or have a working knowledge of the electrical industry.
Each application is considered on individual merit, however formal qualifications may not be required dependant on experience.
The course will be delivered over three days at Gower College Swansea’s Energy Centre, based at Tycoch Campus.

- Bending techniques
- Accurate measuring techniques
- Threading and joint boxes
- Fitting and support systems
- Cutting and fitting methods
- Single core wiring methods
- Design techniques
This course would be particularly useful for facilities maintenance staff, existing electrical contractors, apprentices completing their AM2s, health and safety officers amongst others.
