Site Carpentry Level 3 - Apprenticeship
Overview
City & Guilds Construction in Site Carpentry Level 3 provides a detailed approach on site carpentry, and to meet the construction sector in Wales, including working in traditional, new and pre-1919 building and emerging technologies.
Learners to develop their:
- Ability to effectively plan on-site work projects
- Ability to effectively review and evaluate the quality of completed on-site work
- Knowledge and understanding of the tools, techniques, materials and technologies used in site carpentry and how they change, and have changed, over time
- Employability skills and their ability to utilise them in a work environment
- Understanding social, economic and environmental sustainability as appropriate to construction and built environment
- Occupational knowledge and understanding in Site carpentry
- Occupational performance in site carpentry.
This course has been designed to allow learners in work-based learning to demonstrate and enhance they occupational skills.
Key information
- Must be employed as an apprentice
- GCSE grade A*-D in Maths and English. Alternative qualifications can be discussed.
Assessment:
If the learner takes this Level 3 qualification as part of their apprenticeship without first achieving the Level 2 Foundation in Construction:
- Three online multiple-choice tests
- One externally set, internally marked project
- One internally marked guided discussion
- One employer set practical project
- One professional discussion.
If the learner has completed the Level 2 Foundation in Construction:
- Two online multiple-choice test
- One employer set practical project
- One professional discussion.
Employment or self-employed.
You must be employed as an apprentice to apply for this course.
