Overview
This qualification is primarily suitable for electricians and other industry-based practitioners who require the qualification to undertake daily working activities. The course provides candidates with a working knowledge of the current IET Regulations for electrical installations, BS 7671:2008(2018), ensuring you comply with industry standards and requirements.
Successful candidates will be qualified to the requirements of the JIB for grading and re-grading purposes.
Key information
It is expected that candidates possess relevant trade qualifications and/or have a working knowledge of the electrical industry.
Each application will be considered on individual merit; however formal qualifications may not be required depending on experience.
Please note that depending on your skills and qualifications, a telephone interview may be required.
The course will consist of classroom instructions, followed by a two hour open book examination.
Delivery options are either four consecutive days, or evening delivery (6pm to 9pm) for 10 weeks.

Candidates will be required to bring a copy of the New Amendment 2 book of the IET 18th Edition regulations (brown copy).
