Talented students and staff from Gower College Swansea were recently selected to exhibit their artwork at the Mission Gallery, as part of an innovative project that has united artists and creatives in the local area.
The MiniPrint Wales project, made possible by Swansea Print Workshop and funding from the Arts Council, brought together professional printmakers to share their expertise with Gower College Swansea, University of Wales Trinity Saint David and Coleg Sir Gar. The workshops included Lino Printing with Judith Stroud, Safe Etch with Flora MacLochlan and Letterpress with Mark Pavey.
The culmination of this project was the exhibition of their artwork at the Mission Gallery, from 30 September to 28 October. Swansea Print Workshop has also featured all successful submissions in their MiniPrint Wales exhibition catalogue.
Now, we are thrilled to announce that the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art has expressed its interest in hosting the exhibition at their gallery in Conwy, North Wales, from 2-30 March, 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to take this showcase to another prestigious venue, aligning perfectly with the project's goal to connect with printmakers, workshops, and galleries across Wales.
