Digital Infrastructure Engineer Level 3 - Qualification
Overview
The Digital Infrastructure Engineer Level 3 qualification equips learners with the skills and knowledge to work on systems that link digital and physical environments.
It covers digital networking, networking principles, IT hardware and organisational support. Learners will gain competence to work in roles such as IT Technical Support, Software Developer, Web Developer, Database Administrator and Network Planner.

This course is ideal for individuals aged 16 and above who are looking to start or advance their career in IT infrastructure. It is suitable for both new entrants and existing staff seeking to upskill.
Learners must be able to gather evidence within a workplace setting.
Learners will be supported by a dedicated Tutor/Assessor who will work closely with both the learner and employer to tailor the programme to individual roles and prior experience.
The course is delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams, with optional face-to-face sessions. Training schedules are flexible and agreed upon to minimise disruption to the workplace.
Optional units
In addition to mandatory units, learners can choose from a wide range of optional units to tailor their learning.

Assessment
Learners will compile a portfolio of evidence including documents, screenshots and practical work outputs. Regular one-to-one meetings with Tutors/Assessors will support progress.
Smart Assessor, an online assessment tool, is used to track and manage learner progress effectively.
