Students at Gower College Swansea are celebrating an overall A Level pass rate of 99%, with 1205 separate exam entries.
Of these passes, 35% were at grades A*-A, 61% were at A*-B and 82% were at A*-C.
The overall pass rate at AS Level was 92%, with 67% of those passes being grades A - C and 44% being grades A - B. There were 2447 separate exam entries for AS.
The College’s vocational results are also strong again this year with a 100% pass rate across Level 3 Extended Diplomas. 57% of these students achieved at least one Distinction.
If you are planning on picking up your exam results this week, please don't forget to bring some ID with you!

Vocational Certificates
Learners will be notified when their certificate is available for collection.
A Gower College Swansea Foundation Degree Fashion and Textile Design student was recently shortlisted in the prestigious idott competition.
Sheeza Ayub’s work was one of over 1000 individual entries submitted to the competition from art and design students based in the UK and across Europe.

In the regional heat, Korean student Bella took the first place in both the Computer Graphics and Graphics in Photography categories.
Our Chinese students also took home prizes. Photography student Trista took the first place in the Monochrome Print category, while Iris won the Printing and Fashion category at the Regionals and then went on to achieve second place at the Nationals in the same category.

Staff were also able to browse the stalls set up at the College’s Sport Centre and find out more about gym membership, fitness and nutrition and other initiatives such as the College book club and Health Assured employee assistance programme.
