National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2023 is the 16th annual celebration of apprenticeships in the UK and brings together businesses and apprentices to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy. It coincides with Apprenticeship Week Wales (AWW) which aims to celebrate and promote apprenticeships in Wales as a valuable pathway into work or a new career.
This year, NAW and AWW run from Monday 6-Sunday 12 February, and Gower College Swansea are offering an array of activities to demystify and celebrate apprenticeships:
- On Monday 6 February, the College will be holding its annual Apprenticeship Awards. This year, the ceremony will be in-person and will celebrate apprentices, tutors and delivery partners from all subject areas!
- On Wednesday 8 February, the College is running an Apprenticeship Open Evening for people of all ages that are interested in finding out more about apprenticeships or want to start their apprenticeship journey.
- Finally, from Monday 6-Friday 10 February, the College will be running virtual Apprenticeship Information Sessions on Teams, details of which can be found below!
