Overview

This course will teach you how to plan and make a lined waistcoat. You will learn about the history and development of the waistcoat as a part of modern apparel. As well as having the opportunity to learn how to plan and construct a design for a waistcoat, and how to combine some new embellishment techniques, like embroidery, sashiko, needle felting and appliqué to ensure the final project you produce will be unique to you.

You can choose to use a commercial pattern, bring along your own pattern design or use a pre-made block as the basis for your design.

This course is ideal for learners who have some sewing and garment making experience but want to develop their skills and learn new techniques.
