Creative Mixed Media – One Day Workshop
Overview
In this one day workshop, you’ll learn the art of mould making and casting. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to develop your existing skills, this course offers a welcoming space to experiment, explore and build confidence with a variety of different mediums and techniques.
You’ll gain both practical skills and an understanding of the theory behind mould making, working with a range of different materials, including:
- Plaster
- Clay
- Modroc
- Resin
- Cement.
Full health and safety guidance will be provided throughout the day, so you can practice safety and confidently.
By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a bespoke mixed media 3D artifact, designed to be displayed and enjoyed outdoors.
Key information
No previous experience is necessary, just an interest in related subject areas.
This course is delivered in the art and design studios at our Llwyn y Bryn campus in Uplands.
During the course, learners will complete an outcomes booklet, which forms the basis of assessment for the qualification certificate.
Progression from any part-time course could offer a pathway to full-time courses in art and design. For adult learners considering a creative career, the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course could provide a progression route for this.
