Overview

Upon the completion of this IOSH qualification, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the meaning of sustainability, human capital and their three inter-dependencies
  • Understand the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and how OSH relates to them
  • Understand the meaning of a culture
  • Understand the core OSH management principles
  • Understand the importance of tracking performance to social sustainability
  • Understand the importance of good management to social sustainability

Key information

Learners would benefit from attending the IOSH Managing Safely course.

This qualification is delivered through a combination of face-to-face sessions in classes and 1:1 support. 

Learning hours

A total of 12.5 hours consisting of:

  • 12 hours of learning
  • 30 minutes for multi-format questions

1. Knowledge and comprehension

  • Learners are required to complete the standard assessment under exam conditions, consisting of 30 questions in a variety of formats that can be achieved in 30 minutes

2. Practical application of learning

  • Learners are required to create a two part action plan, to be completed after the course and submitted by an agreed date
