Abrasive Wheels - Course
Overview
This course has been designed to comply with the requirements of the Provisions and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWWER 1998), and the Health and Safety Executive Publication ‘Safety in the use of Abrasive Wheels’ (HSG17).
It is primarily suitable for:
- An employer who has appointed a member of staff to be competent in the mounting of abrasive wheels
- Someone who has operated an abrasive wheel appliance in their workplace, and needs to understand how to operate and mount grinding wheels, as well as be familiar with relevant regulations
Upon completion of the course, learners will have gained the knowledge required to mount an abrasive wheel in a safe environment, supported by the knowledge of legal requirements under Provisions and Use of Work Equipment 1998 (PUWER).
