Estates and Facilities Management Level 4 - Apprenticeship
Overview
Facilities Management is suitable for a wide-range of learners, from new employees who are looking to gain an understanding of facilities management and the sector, to experienced staff seeking a deeper knowledge of the profession to progress to management or senior roles.
The Level 4 apprenticeship is primarily for staff working at an operational management level or looking to progress to this level. This apprenticeship will provide a broad knowledge of the profession and the skills to complete complex tasks.
The apprenticeships can be used to recruit or upskill existing staff.

Key information
To be eligible for apprenticeship funding, the apprentice must be employed for more than 16 hours per week and based in Wales.
Learners will be allocated a dedicated tutor/assessor, who will work closely with both the learners and employer to ensure the level and units selected are suitable for the individual’s role and organisational priorities. The tutor/assessor will meet the learners every 4-6 weeks to assess progress and set objectives for the net period.
The delivery of the apprenticeship is flexible, and can be tailored to suit the needs of the learner and employer, including face-to-face and virtual delivery, or a blended approach.

- Understanding FM strategy
- Managing health and safety in own areas of FM
Optional units
The allocated tutor/assessor will discuss the optional units available with the learner and employer, and will determine the suitable units depending on the organisational priorities and learner development needs.
Facilities Management Level 5 - Apprenticeship
To successfully complete the apprenticeship, learners will undertake a variety of assessments. The assessments set will be work-based tasks allowing the learner to apply the skills, knowledge and behaviours developed directly to their role.
