Overview
This Digital Discovery Day offers a practical introduction to free, tried-and-tested digital tools that genuinely support teaching and learning across all education settings, including Primary, Secondary, Further Education (FE), Higher Education (HE) and Work-Based Learning.
Participants will explore tools that can be used straight away in the classroom or workplace, helping to enhance engagement, streamline tasks, and make teaching more effective without any hidden costs or overhyped claims. The session encourages sharing ideas and experiences, reflecting on what has worked well, and discovering practical solutions to challenges in digital practice.
By the end, learners will leave with actionable strategies and tools they can confidently use in their own settings.

Delivered as a hands-on, interactive workshop, the morning session is tutor-led, introducing a variety of free digital tools and demonstrating how they can be applied in teaching and learning. Learners have time to experiment with the tools themselves, exploring features and testing practical applications.
The afternoon is collaborative, offering space to share experiences, discuss what has worked well, troubleshoot challenges with tutor guidance, and work together to find effective solutions.
This approach ensures participants gain both practical skills and confidence to integrate these tools into their day-to-day practice.
